Colby Mackenzie Sheffer is a wellness entrepreneur committed to helping burnt out employees stay well enough to keep doing their good work.
Colby’s passion began in 2016 when a chronic illness infecting her nervous system derailed her federal career. After seeing two dozen doctors with no concrete answers, Colby had to find her own way to get well.
She has spent the past 7 years dedicated to learning, healing and teaching, obtaining her 200 hour and 300 hour certifications in yoga, a certification in Mental Health First aid, her certification in health coaching and nutrition, and studying and practicing nervous system health.
She created her company to spread her knowledge, helping workers support their own physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual systems through lecture and practice-based talks and training.
She started while still working as a communications director at the U.S. General Services Administration, volunteering as a Yoga and Mindfulness Ambassador to teach a monthly stress-relief class to a list of over 300 colleagues during the 2019-2022 coronavirus pandemic.
She now is sought after by non-profits, leading PR firms, and public institutions to educate staff on health basics that we all need to know to protect and care for ourselves in a world where stressors are only increasing.
In her spare time, Colby teaches public yoga classes, tutors middle/high schoolers in creative writing, writes a free monthly newsletter, and continues her multiple drafts of non-fiction, memoir, and short story pieces.
